In 1989, the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaiʻi was formed to preserve the cultural heritage of Japanese Americans in Hawaiʻi and to honor the values of education, hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance instilled by the issei (first generation). Today, our community remains committed to this shared purpose, united by cherished values and our love for Hawaiʻi.
By contributing gifts of your time, expertise, and financial support, you can help the JCCH provide relevant educational programs and engage multiple generations in interactive resources. Watch our latest recap video to see examples of how we care for our community and its families.
